Bots and moderation

I'm not trying to step on any toes, but if you guys want me to get rid of these bots and make sure they can't come back, I've offered before and am offering again. Somebody needs to moderate this place before it gets overrun by spambots. I'll take care of it on a short-term basis. I know the forum is pretty slow but there is no reason for all of the good info to get covered up by spambot advertising.

It will only take a few minutes to delete the posts. In one evening, I could install a script that keeps bots from being able to register on the site. I'd have to get FTP access and access to the admin control panel for that to work. Or just update the forum software to 3.0.7-PI and change a couple of settings, and bots won't ever be on here again.

I don't know who is taking care of the site now so I'm just posting this for whomever to read.

+1! I still check the forum from time to time but it seems like the only new posts are just bot ads...its kind of frustrating.

2nd that i still ck almost daily but all i see is bots i think some one should be allowed to fix the prob.it would be nice to bring this sight back to life . there has to be people out there that still love this hobby like i do ???????.

I just don't know what happened. This place was hopping when I first got on here and now the administrators don't even log in. It would literally take ten minutes of work to fix this bot problem permanently.

Taylor, if you need help setting up the forums or anything, let me know. I can try to walk you through it. I guess we could all just migrate over to your forum and let this one die. I'm not real active on here but I just don't see the point in coming back if nothing will be done to keep the place maintained.
