Newcomer to the hobby. Just started my tank on April 1st. It is a 29g tank I got from a friend. I have about 3 inches of live sand about 20 lbs of live rock, a 150 w heater, 2 aquaclear powerheads, and a hang of filter with 2 bio wheels. Lighting is just the hood lighting that came with the tank. I have 1 actinic bulb and one daylight bulb i have been trading in and out. Getting pretty old. Any suggestions u guys have on lighting would be helpful along with other suggestions. I have 1 clown, 1 chromis, and 1 scooter blenny, but would like to make a reef tank down the line. If you wont to keep coral id get ether a 175 watt
metal halide or a T5 set up both or good.

If you just wont fish almost any light will do
on my original 29 fish only i just had 2*20
watt florescent lamps.

I have a 29g also, check out my build thread on here. I have a 250w MH over it but 150w or higher would work good for any type of coral. Also you might want to take the bio wheel out of the filter as they tend to become nitrate factories.
